First Showers

On the road at 7.00am.  Took us two and half hours to walk 10kms.  Whilst having a coffee in Najera it rained for 10 minute's,  cooling the air.  Walked the next 7kms to Azofra where we decided to stay as it was getting very hot.  Quiet village with 2 excellent bars and a supermarket.  We came in for a beer at 1.30pm,  all the local farm workers (30) were having a vino,  very interesting. Photo attached.  After a couple of beers,  back to albergue for afternoon nap, we have a room to ourselves.  We have had a good dinner, breakfast organized and hope to visit Cistercian nunnery at Cañas.  This means a bit of a detour.

  1. You seem to be handling the walk so well I almost think I could do it !Ha ha. Love reading your comments. All is still ok here including Phoebe who still does the circuit from your place ,up the path of 32 ,round the back and home. The ABs played a cliff hanger last night ,left my heart pounding as they only won by 4 points. X
